The ROC Naval Fleet Command stated today (27^th) that corporal Xu of the affiliated 168 Keelung Fleet, was hit by a large truck that was making a right turn when the former drove through Fengping 1^st Road in Daliao District of Kaohsiung City on his scooter at 14:00 today after finishing damage control training at the Zuoying Base, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The command dispatched high level cadres including the director of political warfare upon receiving the tragic news to assist Xu’s family with organizing his funeral and other matters.

The ROC Naval Fleet Command pointed out that the relevant cause of the accident will be investigated and clarified by the police, and the command has notified all units to reinforce road safety. The ROC Naval Fleet Command expresses its deep sorrow for corporal Xu, and will fully assist with organizing his funeral and the compensation for his family.
